Overview

Okala is a nature tech consultancy developing software for biodiversity measurement that integrates technologies such as camera trapping, eDNA, bioacoustics, and remote sensing. Their solutions integrate AI for data analysis, interactive web dashboards for reporting and mobile phone apps.

The brief was to refresh Okala's website by delivering a modern, interactive, unique design, aligned with Okala’s mission, values, and innovative products and services. We also needed to ensure it was easy for the client to manage post-launch.

The outcome

A custom Webflow website showcasing nature plus technology to support scaling the business.

Having a deep understanding of the NatureTech sector due to our portfolio in this growing niche, we were a perfect fit for Okala. We took their brand and started from scratch with a custom design. This needed to balance nature with technology and take users on a journey. We achieved this through a futuristic but minimalistic design, paired with imagery, animations and videos of nature and animals.

Static designs were developed inside Webflow, relying extensively on Components and Variables to allow easy client management, in line with our Paddle Promise.

We then created custom Lottie animations to support the messaging and enhance the technology-driven approach.
