4 Marvellous Women that Changed Marketing
For 2022 International Women's Day we've chosen to celebrate marvellous women who have changed the marketing industry! Each have left their mark on the industry and are truly inspirational! Happy International Women's Day 2022
International Women’s Day is a big deal at Paddle Creative. Whilst Paddle Creative was created by a male, Matt Connelly, with four daughters of his own it’s fair to say championing kick-ass women is high on the agenda in our culture!
Have you ever wondered about the role women have played in shaping the marketing industry? Women's history in marketing is extremely significant but unfortunately it is often overlooked. It is common to hear about guru’s such as Steve Jobs and Seth Godin, but there are many women who have helped shape the world of marketing. Women have always been outnumbered by males in the marketing sector, but that's all beginning to change. Women working in the industry reached an all-time high in 2019, accounting for 64% of the industry!
Women have a long history in marketing, dating back to 1880, and as time goes on, we will see more women enter and thrive in the business. The same is true for start-ups; while female entrepreneurs are on the upswing, just 32.37 percent of UK enterprises are now owned by women but it’s increasing everyday and soon #girlboss will shine brighter than ever…
