It is critical that all imagery is compressed before launch. Large images is generally the number 1 item that slows sites down.

How big should images be?

Aim for images to be as small as possible without pixelating them too much, ideally below 200kb (less if best).

USe SVG format where it makes sense (e.g. icons) and WebP or AVIF format for other images (using the Webflow compression tool).
